What is the Truth About Finances?

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Why is Biblical Financing Important?

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.

Leviticus 27:30 NKJV

“Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

Proverbs 3:9-10 NKJV

God tells us in the Old Testament that we are to tithe 10% and honor Him with all we have. In doing so, we will have plenty to the point of overflow. This is prosperity, this is living in the blessing of God. This is one of the spiritual blessings we have access to through Christ. By us being God’s Beloved, we get to stand on Ephesians 1:3-6, where Paul says, “God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.”

How do we become Prosperous?

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV

Simply put, prosperity is the state of being prosperous. The verse above says that God has plans for all of us to prosper. We must steward our money well. This means we must be responsible, and we can not be lazy. We have to give God something to multiply. Zero times anything is zero.

What does the Word say?

“If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.

Deuteronomy 15:7-8 NKJV

“Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. “Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name. But who am I, and who  are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, and of Your own we have given You..

1 Chronicles 29:12-14 NKJV

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” … “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke 16:10 & 13 NKJV

“Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 NKJV

“There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.

Proverbs 11:24-25 NKJV

“But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
